Recap: Jim Donovan's Presentation April 24th 2012

See What You Missed from Identifying, Enlisting and Motivating Board Members for Your Non-Profit Organization!

Special Thank You to Jim Donovan for his presentation and The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties for their program support.

The special April 24th Program was attended by 35 nonprofit staff and Board members.  The seminar provided attendees with the criteria for identifying potential board members, how best to enlist them and how to motivate them, including their role in asking for major gifts.  Jim specifically emphasized the importance and best practice of Board Driven and Staff Supported fundraising. As Jim stated during his presentation, "The challenge today for nonprofits isn't money. It is getting the leadership to ask for money." Following this topic, Jim informed attendees on where to find this leadership, how to cultivate volunteer leadership, and how to enlist said leadership.
